This will be the first of 5 courses that are created to train the beginner to long range precision shooting; how to properly set up, zero & create Data Of Previous Engagements. (DOPE) This course is also useful to the experienced long range precision shooter who  may be trying to solve some ergonomic gear set up issues, or create a more precise DOPE

The course will begin with the students rifle being set up for the individual

The student will learn the most solid and appropriate shooting position (for the unique/individual shooter) to obtain the absolute best zero

Then the student will learn to zero the rifle to the scope

Engage and set the zero stop for the specific scope

Research and chose appropriate ammunition that works the best for the students specific rifle and barrel

Choose and deploy the best ballistic app for the individual student

Create a field DOPE card which will translate to a permanent DOPE card for the students specific Rifle, Ammunition, and yardage zero.

Gear List; (If you don’t have the gear; we can likely accommodate) 

Scoped Rifle with the ability to measure using Minute of Angle (MOA) or MillRadian (MILs) & minimum of 10X magnification .223-338 L

Any tools necessary to adjust your rifle or scope

50 rounds of the appropriate caliber of ammunition for the specific rifle (differing grain weights and speeds are ok for intel gathering) 

Shooting Mat/Bags

Camping chair

Cleaning kit

Spotting Scope/Binoculars

Shooting DOPE book or Notebook and pen/pencil
