ABOUT THE INSTRUCToRS
Julian – Senior Instructor
Julian is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps,
and a retired career Peace Officer.
He is an AZ DPS and NRA Licensed Firearms Instructor.
He is an ASP (Impact Weapon, Tactical Flashlight,
Arrest Control and Handcuffing) Certified Instructor.
He is also a Chief Range Safety Officer and
has vast experience operating in a large western
city’s Patrol Division, Gang Unit, and SWAT Team.
This experience is the genesis of the company’s curriculum.
Nate – Instructor
Nate is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He is a current Peace Officer who is an
AZ DPS Licensed & P.O.S.T. Certified Firearms Instructor.
He specializes in AZ Armed Guard certification
as well as tactical rifle and pistol instruction.
Irvin – Instructor
Irvin is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps
and a skilled firearms instructor who specializes in
machine gun training, long-range,
tactical rifle and pistol instruction.
Giorgio – Instructor
Giorgio specializes in pistol, rifle and
Tactical Games preparation courses.
Matt – Instructor
Matt is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps
and a skilled firearms instructor who also
owns and operates Trojan Horse Custom Concealment.

Firearms Courses:
Pistol Fundamentals:
Pistol 1 Skill Builder and Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Certification Course
This course covers the fundamentals of marksmanship needed to become an expert sportsman or defensive shooter.
Necessary Gear:
- Pistol/Revolver .380 through .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for semi-automatic
- (Rental 9MM Pistols available on request – $25 Rental Fee)
- Minimum of 80 rounds (of the appropriate caliber) per shooter in order to complete the class
- Appropriate range attire (closed toe shoes)
- Hearing and Eye Protection
Optional Gear:
- Sunscreen
- Water/snacks
- Hat/ballcap

Course Duration: 5 to 6 hours

Pistol 2 Skill Builder
This class reinforces the fundamentals of marksmanship needed to become an expert sportsman or defensive shooter.
The course will focus on proper draw-stroke, reloads and malfunction remediation.
Necessary Gear:
- Pistol/Revolver .380 through .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for semi-automatic
- (Rental 9MM Pistols available on request – $25 Rental Fee)
- Minimum of 150-200 rounds (of the appropriate caliber) per shooter in order to complete the class
- Belt, Holster, Magazine Pouch
- Appropriate range attire (closed toe shoes)
- Hearing and Eye Protection
Optional Gear:
- Sunscreen
- Water/snacks
- Hat/ballcap

Great Team! My wife and I took a intro carbine course and Matt and Irvin were awesome. Very professional and personable. They showed us our weak points, how to fix them and gave us the tools we need to practice safely on our own to come back for a more advanced course in the future. Highly recommend.

I have never used a firearm before. Where should I start?
Congratulations on taking the first steps in developing your skills and confidence with firearms.
We offer fundamentals-based training, including training for beginners and first-time shooters.

We recommend you consider the Pistol 1 Skill Builder Class as a place to start.

Do you offer practice packages?
Absolutely!
We offer a variety of firearms courses in progression.
Each course is fundamentals-based and builds off of the skills of the previous class(es).
We have found the most successful students are the ones that come back and take our courses more than once.
We also strongly encourage students to practice on their own.

What do I need to bring to class?
Great Question!
- We always recommend you bring water and snacks to any of our classes.
- For outdoor, live-fire classes, please be conscious of the weather and nature of the outdoor environment. While we will do our best to make the outdoor class as enjoyable as possible, please come prepared with close-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen and other items you may require, especially if the class is in the summer months in Phoenix!
- We suggest you bring paper and a writing implement to take notes, as you see fit.
- You are welcome to sign our waiver too and bring it to the class.

We conduct our outdoor classes at Cowtown Range, see the map HERE

Please arrive about 15 minutes early to read and sign the safety waiver for Cowtown Range (this is required every year).
