Pistol Skill Builder 1 /Carry Concealed Weapon Certification

This course is geared toward, but not limited to the beginner shooter, and serves as an introduction to the sport of tactical marksmanship, as well as a beginner level pistol self-defense course. The course covers the proper grip, stance, draw-stroke and trigger control of the shooter. Also covered, target/threat acquisition and neutralization. There is a classroom portion on the back end of class which will complete the Certification requirements for application for the State of AZ for CCW. Fingerprinting IS included.

Necessary Gear:

  1. Pistol/Revolver .380 thru .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for Semi-automatic Pistols (Rental 9MM Glock Pistols available on request $25 Rental Fee)
  2. 80 Rounds of the appropriate caliber per shooter
  3. Appropriate range attire
  4. Hearing and Eye Protection

Pistol Skill Builder 2/ Introduction to Tactics and Malfunctions

This course is a level above the beginner course and serves as an introduction to employing tactics (movement) to the shooter’s marksmanship tool-box. The course will also cover the types and remedies to the malfunctions that a shooter may experience while shooting a pistol/revolver. The students will learn to move laterally, as well as forward and backward, while employing the pistol/revolver. The students will also be introduced to and asked to communicate their actions to a partner during a dynamic, critical incident, self-defense scenario. Pistol 1 Skill builder or skill proficiency are prerequisite for this course.

The minimum gear necessary:

  1.   Pistol/Revolver .380 thru .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for Semi- automatic Pistols (Rental 9MM Glock Pistols available on request $25 Rental Fee)
  2.   150 Rounds of the appropriate caliber per shooter
  3.    Belt, Holster, Magazine pouch
  4.    Appropriate range attire
  5.    Hearing and Eye Protection

Pistol Skill Builder 3/ Intermediate Tactical Shooting

This course is a level above the Pistol Skill builder 2 course. This course will continue to teach the student to employ more advanced tactical movement and add to their self-defense tactical toolbox. The shooters will begin to employ more advanced reloads and malfunction recovery, while moving and utilizing cover. The students will employ previous training by moving forward and backward, laterally, and addressing threats as presented from a 360-degree radius.  All while communicating their actions and needs for assistance to a partner, during tactically dynamic scenarios.  Pistol 2 Skill builder or skill proficiency are prerequisite for this course.

The minimum gear necessary:

  1. Pistol/Revolver .380 thru .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for Semi- automatic Pistols (Rental 9MM Glock Pistols available on request $25 Rental Fee)
  2. 400 Rounds of the appropriate caliber per shooter
  3. Belt, Holster, Magazine pouch
  4. Appropriate range attire
  5. Hearing and Eye Protection

Pistol Skill Builder 4/ Advanced Tactical Shooting

This course is an advanced course and only those who have shown proficiency in the prior 3 skill builder classes will be admitted into this course. In this course the students will employ tactical marksmanship in an extremely dynamic and fast paced course. The students will add advanced positional shooting to their tactical toolbox, as well as utilize previously learned communication, movement, cover and concealment, reloading (when appropriate) and malfunction recovery, without prompting and as needed to complete the current course of fire. In the course the student will move from positions designated, by barricades and simulated cover, vehicles, and any other scenarios that are constructed and presented by the course instructors to identify, acquire and neutralize observed threats.  Pistol 3 Skill builder or skill proficiency are prerequisite for this course.

The minimum gear necessary:

  1. Pistol/Revolver .380 thru .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for Semi- automatic Pistols (Rental 9MM Glock Pistols available on request $25 Rental Fee)
  2. 500 Rounds of the appropriate caliber per shooter
  3. Belt, Holster, Magazine pouch
  4. Appropriate range attire
  5. Hearing and Eye Protection

AR/AK/ Pistol Caliber, Skill Builder 1

This course is specifically designed from current SWAT/Law Enforcement Tactics, which will align with the needs of the civilian who is employing the tactical carbine rifle system for, Self Defense, Sport, or Competition. This course is one that teaches the basic utilization of the most common utility operator carbine rifles on the market and in use today. The course will focus more on the basic operation of the rifles, while beginning to build on the tactical movement, and or footwork utilized by experienced tactical operators.

400 to 500 rounds for your weapon system
Rifle, Sling, 4 magazines total
Ammunition carrying system (Chest Rig, LBV, Plate Carrier)
Pistol, Holster, Belt, 3 pistol Magazines, 200 Rounds of appropriate pistol caliber.

This is a beginner level class with no prerequisites necessary to join the class.

AR/AK/ Pistol Caliber, Skill Builder 2

This course is specifically designed from current SWAT/Law Enforcement Tactics, which will align with the needs of the civilian who is employing the tactical carbine rifle system for, Self Defense, Sport, or Competition. This course expands on the basic utilization of the most common utility operator carbine rifles on the market and in use today. The course also focus’ more tactical movement, and or footwork utilized by experienced tactical operators. This will bring the student into a more comfortable and proficient level of skill and abilities, when moving, acquiring targets, and eliminating an authenticated threat.

400 to 500 rounds for your weapon system
Rifle, Sling, 4 magazines total
Ammunition carrying system (Chest Rig, LBV, Plate Carrier)

AR/AK/ Pistol Caliber, Skill Builder 3

This course is specifically designed from current SWAT/Law Enforcement Tactics, which will align with the needs of the civilian who is employing the tactical carbine rifle system for, Self Defense, Sport, or Competition. The course focus’ on a near equal balance of tactical movement, and or footwork utilized by experienced tactical operators, and the use and application of the student’s firearms. This will bring the student into a more comfortable and proficient level of skill and abilities, when moving, acquiring targets, and eliminating an authenticated threat.

400 to 500 rounds for your weapon system
Rifle, Sling, 4 magazines total
Ammunition carrying system (Chest Rig, LBV, Plate Carrier)

AR/AK/ Pistol Caliber, Skill Builder 4

This course is specifically designed from current SWAT/Law Enforcement Tactics, which will align with the needs of the civilian who is employing the tactical carbine rifle system for, Self Defense, Sport, or Competition. Unlike some of the awesome training that is derived from Military combat philosophy, or competitive shooting – where all targets/objects are in play. This training will teach the armed civilian to utilize only the necessary amount of force – from defensive display to the use of the carbine rifle to win the fight – while also training to stay away from prosecution within our criminal justice system. In this course, the student will utilize the target focused and precision marksmanship tactics, to successfully engage or not engage the appropriate targets at various distances.

AR/AK/ Pistol Caliber, Critical Incident in Progress

This course is specifically designed from current SWAT/Law Enforcement Tactics, which will align with the needs of the civilian who is employing the tactical carbine rifle system for, Self Defense, Sport, or Competition. The course is extremely fast paced and conducted in a manner that would be seen in a real-life critical response incident, where the utilization of cover concealment, and well placed suppressive and direct fire are necessary to overcome and neutralize a threat and return peace and safety to society and the public.

Long-Range Precision Marksman Class

The purpose of this course is to instruct students of all skill levels and abilities, in the art of long-range marksmanship. The course is designed to introduce the beginner shooter to the basic fundamentals that make a good shooter great, and to reintroduce the experienced shooters to the tactics that win in competition, or in real world long-range tactical engagements.

  1. Students will learn to engage targets at and beyond 500 yards with accuracy and consistency
  2. Students will learn loading and unloading of the student’s specific Rifle platform along with the resolution of malfunction
  3. Students will learn the basic difference between the Sniper and The Designated Marksman
  4. Students will learn and apply the proper line of sight techniques, between the shooter’s cheek weld through the Scope to the target
  5. Students will learn the basics of zeroing their rifle and their scopes
  6. Students will learn basic range estimation tactics using both the Mil and MOA measurements

There are a limited number of long –range rifles for rent for an extra $50. No steel cased or re-loaded ammo allowed with the use of the rental rifles.

Citizens Response to Active Shooter

This is an advanced class that requires proficiency in the first four skill builder classes, as all the tactics, skills, and malfunction recovery remedies are required to complete this course. The course will teach the students to engage an active shooter, protect third parties and ultimately win a fight and survive if ever engaged in this type of situation. The course will teach the student to repel, engage, and neutralize an active shooter threat or a threat that presents itself in:

  1. A mall
  2. Theater
  3. An ATM
  4. A car-jacker
  5. An assailant who knocks you down and attempts to disarm you
  6. A crowded hallway or corridor
  7. Any other scenario constructed by the instructors and staff

Pistol 4 Skill builder or skill proficiency are prerequisite for this course.

The minimum gear necessary:

  1. Pistol/Revolver .380 thru .45 caliber with at least 1 extra/spare magazine for Semi-            automatic Pistols (Rental 9MM Glock Pistols available on request $25 Rental Fee)

Night Vision Experience

Inner Circle Protection and Defense Training (ICPD) is presenting an extensive 3-part night vision experience course that consists of 3 two-day classes. Each segment will be divided into a beginner/novice level, an intermediate level and a professional level, and will provide the student with the fundamental working knowledge of the Advanced Combat Helmet, the Night Vision Goggle systems (AGM Global Vision), in conjunction with the deployment of the AR Utility Rifle and Infrared Laser targeting system.

Each level of course stratification will ask the student to demonstrate inherently more advanced skills and abilities, than the last.

All necessary equipment will be provided by ICPD for use by the student during the courses in which they have enrolled.

The prerequisites for the novice level are the ICPD “Rifle Skill Builder 2 AR/AK/Pistol Caliber”, which will acclimate the shooter to the AR Utility rifle platform, which will be provided by ICPD for use by the students during the class.

The prerequisites for the intermediate class will be the novice course completion, so the students are aptly prepared to deploy the ACH tactical helmet and the night vision equipment.

The professional level classes will be prerequisite on the intermediate class, active professional/vocational experience, or upon test out qualifications set forth by ICPD.
